THE MISSION OF USD 466, SCOTT COUNTY SCHOOLS
IS TO PROVIDE A WORLD CLASS EDUCATION FOR ALL STUDENTS
Parents and Students,
If you need Tech Support, with your school iPad, you can email email@example.com
A ticket will automatically be created. From there our Tech guys will start the process of providing support for whatever the issue may be.
Thank you all for your support and patience through this new experience we are all adjusting to! We have been delivering to homes in and out of town for those unable to do a pick up. Due to staffing, etc., we are not able to continue to drive to homes in the country for delivery.
We will however have 4 "drop places":
Shallow Water--gas pumps,
Pence Church parking lot,
Modoc Elevator parking lot and
Grigston Elevator parking lot.
Pick up times will be 11:30-11:50 for all but Grigston and that pick up time will be 12:10-12:30 Monday-Through Friday (no meals April 10 & 13). If you are currently receiving meals to your home in the country and do not wish to meet at one of these locations, please let me know so that we can remove your meals from our list. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you will be needing meals and are not yet receiving them, I will need an email requesting drop, which site, how many kids, ages and whether or not they have an allergy. The changes will begin Monday, March 30.
Open: 10:45-12:30—Monday-Friday—Beginning March 23, 2020.
• We will provide a Grab & Go, drive through pick up lunch and breakfast.
• You will pick up your lunch for the day and breakfast for the following morning when you come through.
• Location: You will pick up meals at 704 S. College dock area, this is the north side of the Board of Education building/north west side end of Elementary School playground.
We have also been given permission to allow parents to pick up meals for ages 1-18 living in the home without children being with them. I do however need an email on file requesting this. firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you so much!

Notice from the Health Office:
The UPDATED Isnterim Guidance for COVID-19 is as of this morning, March 6, 2020.
KSDE is working towards preparedness and preparation for COVID-19 spread across the United States. Governor Laura Kelly announced that Kansas’s exposure is low at this moment and time. As of this morning, there are no confirmed cases within Kansas. We still need to be vigilant and prepared for if/when the outbreak occurs in Kansas.
This interim guidance is based on what is currently known about the transmission and severity of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will update this guidance as needed and as additional information becomes available. Please check the CDC website and the Kansas Department of Health & Environment website periodically for updated interim guidance.

Parents and Guardians,
Just sending this out as a reminder that flu season is upon us and we all must do our part to prevent and control the spread of influenza.
If you recall from last school year, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment stated that a student diagnosed with influenza had to be out of school for 7 days after the onset of illness. K.A.R. 28-1-6 in regards to Influenza was updated (10/23/2019) changing this to 5 days after the onset of illness. The student must also still be 24 hours fever free without the aid of medication whichever is longer. This school and work exclusion will apply to both students that have had a positive laboratory test confirming diagnosis of influenza as well student that have been treated with antiviral medication used to treat influenza, as both are considered to be confirmation of a case of influenza.
Please notify the school if your student has a case of influenza.
If you have any questions please call the school health office at 872-7660.
Thank you for your continued cooperation in keeping our students healthy and ready to learn!
