Scott City Elementary School Beliefs:
At Scott City Elementary School we believe that all
students are capable of learning skills
that will make them productive, lifelong learners.
We also believe that all students are capable of showing
compassion and caring for those around them. As a unit,
we at Scott City Elementary School, commit ourselves
to the elementary school level as an institution in which
students may achieve mastery of basic skills and acquire
basic knowledge necessary to develop a positive self
image and to foster academic, social, and personal
growth. We obligate ourselves to identify and meet the
diverse needs of our students so they are better
prepared in their present and future lives.
In so doing, we dedicate ourselves to the development of
learning programs which provide for child-centered
instruction relevant to the needs of elementary-level
students and to prepare them to be productive members
of an international society.The students in our school are
involved in a transition from childhood to adolescence.
We endeavor to help students to better understand and
adapt to their ever-changing physical needs and to better
understand themselves and others.
