GCCC is  excited to let you know that DUAL CREDIT students currently enrolled in the Spring 2021 semester are eligible to apply for GCCC Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds.

Unlike the first round of CARES Act funds, high school dual credit students have been included in the second round of relief funding!!

*$500,000 will be awarded to any GCCC student currently enrolled in Spring 2021 courses. This includes concurrent courses on your campus, online courses, courses on GCCC campus.

*Students can request up to $800 to be used for tuition, fees, food, housing, health care, child care, transportation, etc.  They can choose to apply the amount to any outstanding charges incurred in the Spring 2021 term and will receive a refund if their account has a credit balance.  They can also choose to receive funds directly.

*First come first serve awards until funds are depleted.  Eligible applications (this includes FAFSA verification)  will be processed in the order in which they are submitted. Please understand  by filling out a FAFSA,  they will not be qualified for any financial aid.  This is only being used to determine citizenship eligibility.  A student must be a high school graduate to receive FAFSA financial aid.

How to fill out your FAFSA

FAFSA FORM

*On the application students will be asked to list their GCCC student ID number.

*They DO NOT need a parents signature for the application.

*Because these are Federal funds, students MUST complete FAFSA which verifies their citizenship status through the Department of Homeland Security.

*If a student has already completed FAFSA and did not choose GCCC, they need to go in and do a correction to include
GCCC – school code 001919.

Information will be sent to ALL students through their BusterMail account.  The link to the application will be available  on all the GCCC social media sites, in BusterMail,  as well as the link below.
