Well sad news, KDADS has went into full complete shut down and there will be no more testing until further notice.  So all the students scheduled this week will not be testing.  Please watch our GCCC Allied Health FB page for announcements as we move through this strange COVID-19 adventure.  I hope we will be testing by May, but it will likely be June. Take care everyone and be safe!

  • I just wanted to let you all know that since the State has cancelled all state testing students can still apply to work with a temporary work permit for 6 months.  The students would have received this form completed by their instructors (below).  When they go to apply they must show this form to be eligible to work.  The state has made temporary changes to K.A.R 26-50-20  because of COVID-19.  The students who have completed all course work but unable to test, may still apply for work as a C.N.A. with their Trainee II Skills check off.

This temporary work permit has been extended from 4 months to 6 months.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you!

KANSAS NURSE AIDE Part I – NATCEP Task Checklist

  • Not being able to test for C.N.A. will not affect the students from finishing the HHA class.  When testing is up and going with the state again, we will reschedule their C.N.A. and all those who pass, we will then schedule them to test in 2 weeks for their H.H.A.

But they can continue with the HHA class and get their credits for the class regardless if they have completed any testing for C.N.A. or H.H.A.
